This indeed is a Japanese hand forged battle-ready high carbon steel katana sword, modeled after the famous reverse blade katana from a popular anime/manga series. The spectacular hand forged blade of the katana has been constructed from thoroughly hardened 1065 high carbon steel. Its blade forged on the opposite side than normal, making it a sword ill-fit for killing just as the one carried by Kenshin. The handle is made from sturdy wood with a faux ray skin same, double mekugi and a leather ito wrapped in a traditional Japanese style. Its hilt is without decoration and set in a simple, ovular black steel handguard and the sword itself is worn in a black wooden scabbard or saya. This sword is just as functional as it is beautiful, and would make an excellent addition to your anime sword collection. Included with your sword is a black dust cover, a handmade display stand as well as a katana cleaning kit.
